In case you are holding a higher card, you get back you bet x2. Now, just in case you Tie the dealer, it’s a War. Here, you have the option of surrendering and take away half of your bet. But in case you choose “War” you will have to place another ante up that will be same as that of your original. So, if you lose you can lose lot of your money. Due to tradition the dealer deals himself three cards face down. There is no specific reason behind doing that. The fourth card- which is the card played for the dealer, is faced up. After this you are dealt one card faced up. If this is higher you win a normal bet, (as the second ante placed doesn’t qualify for any kinds of winnings, just loosing).

Just in case there is Tie, and the player decides to surrender, he/she can win back half of the wager. If there is a Tie and again a Tie the original wager is pushed and raise pays even money.
